Welcome to "CJ's" BeachHouse Restaurant, and to the enduring charm of Birch Bay. The original structure now housing the BeachHouse began its life as the clubhouse of the adjacent golf course, established by Grover and Anna Vogt in 1929. It included a small grocery store, tavern, gas station and desk from which cottages could be rented. In the 1940's the building was expanded to accommodate its increasing popularity as the "Place to Go" for an evening of dining & dancing on the Bay, and overnight lodging was offered for visitors on the second floor. Known variously over the years as the "19th Hole", the "Legend Room", or "Stephani's Beach Cafe", it evokes fond memories for generations of residents and visitors alike. We now add our name to this list, and to the stewardship of this historic Northwest Landmark. We hope you enjoy your experience with us and with the quality of our fare, and encourage you to explore all Birch Bay has to offer. The BeachHouse Staff. |
